A
RESOURCE
The Archive has been presented to
The Tamborine Mountain Natural History
Association, to The
John Oxley Library
at the State Library of Queensland and to the
Australian National Film and Sound Archive.
|
 |
| FOR
RESEARCH
The Archive is an unparalleled
resource of benefit
in research and education to organisations, schools, institutes or anyone
concerned with ecology,
conservation and biodiversity.
But it is not just for research and posterity!
|
| FOR
PLEASURE
It is for anyone interested in biodiversity, or who simply wants to dwell
with the images,
and meditate on the beauty.
To give your time to
this Archive is to live with the nature - albeit by proxy -
but nonetheless
in an intimate connection with the place, the land, its plants
and animals, and
to get to know a special place on earth.
|
| AN
IMAGE BANK
Specific shots or sequences can be extracted and used subject to copyright
permission.
Certain sequences in
the Archive lend themselves for use in a contemplative
or background
video-wall.
|
AN
ORAL HISTORY
Part
Six of the archive is four DVD discs containing stories and statements by
residents
of the Mountain, aged 11 - 78. |
The
Interviews comprise a detailed oral history and record the interaction
of residents with their environment at the turn of the 21st century.
|
| PRESENTATIONS
Peter Kuttner is available to give a presentation
based on the Archive and his experiences
filming it. Enquire...
He is also interested in encouraging others
to make similar archives and can advise and
consult with community groups or individuals to give them the benefit
of his experience.
